My Walgreens Trip Today
I took a very quick trip to Walgreens today while my teething toddler was napping and hubby was home. Had I spent more time splitting my transactions and using more saved up Register Rewards my out of pocket expense would have been less, but I just didn't have time today. However I still got great deals. Here is how I did it:
Kellogs Cereal select varieties 3/$10
when you buy 3 you get a $3 Register Reward (RR)
=3/$7
-(3) $1 off coupon from 4/5 insert
=3/$4
out of pocket expense 3/$7 (you will get your RR after the transaction)
Ocean spray $4.79
-Free ocean spray with purchase of 2 smart start cereals coupon found on tear pad at Super One by juicy display
=Free
Chex mix on sale for .99
-.50 coupon from march insert
=.49 bag
Mentos gum 2/$2
-$1/1 coupon
=Free
Scunci elastics $2
Get $2 RR
=Free after RR
Colgate max fresh toothbrush $3.29
-$1 coupon from colgate web site (click on sign up now-you can print up to 4)
receive $3.50 RR
=Better than free
Chapstick $1.99
receive $2 RR
=Free after RR
I used two of my saved up RR that were $3 each and a $3.21 gift card balance leaving my out of pocket expense at:
=$12.36
Total Savings: $71.92!
