Make Your Own Soda At Home!!! Soda Stream Review & Giveaway!!

I am super excited to share this review and giveaway with you! I was very interested in trying out the SodaStream Soda Maker and seeing what it really was all about. Let me tell you it surpassed all of my expectations. My husband is really the soda drinker in our house, but I like an occasional soda and I really like flavored sparkling water. The Soda Stream lets you make your own soda and flavored carbonated water AT HOME!

We received the Fountain Jet Soda Stream to review and oh my gosh was it fun! We immediately tore into the box when it arrived and my husband (who looked like a mad scientist) got busy in the kitchen whipping up some soda to try. It was extremely easy to figure out and use and we were drinking our home made soda in a matter of 15 minutes from when we opened it. This is by far the coolest thing ever! We had a pizza and pop party and it made for a fun family afternoon. We had a blast trying the different flavors and playing around with the Soda Stream.

The Fountain Jet SodaStream soda maker sells for $99.95 and includes the Fountain Jet Soda Maker, 110 Liter Carbonator, and 2 carbonating bottles and you can also choose your color. They also have the Genesis, Pure and Penguin models available on their site. The Fountian Jet is designed very nicely to look sleek and modern on your countertop. It is not something I would want to stash in the cupboard, it looks very nice on our counter.

I was amazed that the SodaStream could turn ordinary tap water into soda! And get this, it doesn't use batteries or electricity! Crazy huh?

I think the SodaStream Soda Maker is very fun for the whole family. We definitely made a family activity out of it and had a great time. We are also looking forward to making home made soda for our guests when they come to visit! Won't that be fun whipping up a fresh batch of soda for our friends. I think they will be impressed!


SodaStream offers over 25 different flavors and it isn't just pop, they also offer flavored water mixes as well. My absolute favorite soda mix was the Cranberry-Raspberry. I am in LOVE with this flavor! I want to stash it away and hide it from my family because they love it too :) My husband is a bit of an energy drinking junkie. He works shift work and has taken to drinking energy drinks as a pick me up because coffee gives him heartburn. He was excited to try out the Energy flavor soda and coming from the expert himself he said it tasted exactly like Red Bull. He said you wouldn't even know the difference. We were very impressed with the flavors and thought they definitely rivaled other major name pop brands flavors.

SodaStream also sells MyWater mixes which come in Berry, Lemon Lime and Orange. Let me assure you the SodaStream isn't just for pop drinkers!

SodaStream's soda flavors sell for $4.99 or less and make up to 12 liters per bottle. So if you think about it you are paying only .42 a liter! The MyWater sell for around $9.99 a pack.

Another perk of the SodaStream Soda is that it is eco friendly-no more bottles or cans to recycle or dispose of! And I love that the reusable carbonating bottles it comes with are BPA free. Another bonus is that the soda stream mixes contain no high fructose corn syrup or aspartame.
