As both a Registered Nurse and a Mom living in northern Minnesota I know firsthand that humidifiers are an absolute must have. With cold and flu season upon us they are also a must have for kids to help relieve their cold symptoms. The reason for this is due to the risk of injury to a child from the steam of a heated humidifier. I can rest easy knowing that Danika will not be burned by this humidifier.

Another reason these fun animal humidifiers are on my must have list this season is because young kids cannot have most cold and cough medicines. Traditional recommendations from Pediatricians include using a cool mist humidifier, saline solution and suctioning bulbs to help bring your child some relief.

The most you hear is the water moving in it, there isn't a loud motor noise which is a definite bonus with me. You can run them with or without a filter to help reduce mineral deposits.

Another feature that I love is the water tank. It is very easy to fill and fits in the sink which is a huge bonus for me. The humidifier my husband and I use is too tall to fit in the sink and must be filled in the bath tub. This is no easy task, especially at seven months pregnant! So needless to say I am very appreciative that it fits easily in the sink, even the bathroom sink. It also has a handle to make carrying the tank back to the base even easier. One other feature I like is the night light that is built in. You can turn it on or off depending on your kiddos preference.

So all in all I LOVE the Crane humidifiers and I think they would make an excellent baby shower gift for any expecting mama.
