If you receive an email like this DO NOT reply and DO NOT click on the link as I don't know if it is a virus or not. I apologize to anyone that is receiving this as it is not from me or my blog. If you receive any email from me it will be from my email address @minnesotamamasmusthaves.com. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Once again I am frustrated that people will go to this length!

I think I've gotten this same email several times over the past few days. It's coming from an Angela and the subject is "hi." I haven't opened any of them though, just keep deleting. Thanks for the heads up.
Hi Sarah,
Just so you know this is the same email that is happening with many bloggers names. It's crap that spam from our blogs is going on because of well spammers.
I have not received this one, but I have received some others with other blog names. You are definitely not the only one this is happening to. Thanks though for the heads up!
Yeah I received that same junk email from another blog I follow- spearmint baby. I thought it was legit for a sec and then quickly realized it was spam.
I wonder if it helps to enter for giveaways and leavng your email in this form: name AT gmail DOT com - I have been doing that because I have see others do that so their email address isnt easily picked up by spammers. Not sure how effective it is though.
It's best not to have people leave their email addresses in with their comments where other viewers can see them. It's best to have it where only the blog owner can see the email addresses, and not anyone who posts a comment after others.
MSN techs said that scammers are coming to blogs to get email addresses of people who post comments and enter giveaways at especially mommy owned blogs. They then sometimes use these addresses along with a program that runs common passwords along with the email addresses to try and find one that will allow them access into the person's personal computer files.
Once into these files that install a piggybacking illegal program that runs on the persons email system, and for awhile only runs to find the times that the email and computer are not usually being run/used by the owner, then it installs next a program where they can run/send their emails which are usually spam with a link back to their real home page on the attacked posters computer.
This way they can send hundreds to thousands of emails out without having to pay a fee to places like msn etc. for business email loads.
It's an illegal practice, and these criminals have gotten saavy on how and where to easily get emails from mommy blogger sites.
Why do I know this, well I was once a victim. I had to get ahold of MSN when I was having a lot of problems and it felt like someone else was interrupting my email being delivered to my in box.
MSN blocked this criminals piggybacking from my email, and I don't know if they sought out criminal charges. They said if the person was in the USA they could go forward with such. They told me this was the number one way this is happening, but it can also happen if you have a friend who forwards you emails along with a ton of other friends, where all the friends can see your email address along with the other people she/he forwarded too. They said one of the people could end up forward the addresses on in a sale to an illegal entity and then they could do the same thing as above.
It's scary out there, beware where you post your email address, you never know who wants to piggyback off you.
Make sure you have a password that includes capital letters, and numbers too, also make it strange and if it's not even a word at all, all the better, said the MSN tech.
I received the email as well. It's amazing what people will do.
I received that same email but from another blog I read...very annoying.
Little Miss Emmy Lou - I always enter my email that way and I still got this email.
