One of my favorite holiday treats (and the only one I was determined to make this year) don't have a fancy name. I just call them Marshmallow Carmel Rice Krispies. Essentially they are a big marshmallow covered in a carmel mixture and rolled in cereal. They are SO yummy! This is one that your older kids could help with. Because the carmel is really hot you wouldn't want your younger kids helping you roll them in cereal.
First mix together in a microwave safe dish:
1 stick butter
1 can sweetened condensed milk
50 carmels (1 pkg Kraft carmels)
Next, heat them in the microwave for 10-15 minutes stopping them to stir every couple of minutes. Continue to heat them until mixture is completely melted and has a good carmel consistency. If you heat too long the carmel will get hard but if you don't heat long enough it won't be sticky enough to stick to the marshmallows. Once done remove from microwave.

Then make an assembly line. You will need 2 packages of jumbo marshmallows (or 1 big one), rice krispies and fruity pebbles. You can see what the carmel mix should look like too. I mix my cereal together in a pie plate. I like to mix rice krispies with fruity pebbles because then they aren't too sweet but have some color. You can use just one or the other if you like. I find just fruity pebbles are too sweet. At the end of your assembly line put a cookie sheet with wax paper to place your treats on.
Then dip your marshmallow in the carmel, cover completely and roll in cereal. That's it! They are a little putsy but sooooo yummy!

Here is what they look like when they are done. I made them last night and have already eaten half a dozen of them! Enjoy :)
