You Don't Have To Sacrifice Your Style When Pregnant or Nursing! Passion Spice Review & Giveaway!

Thursday, July 30, 2009 370

Just because you are pregnant or nursing doesn't mean you can't still be a sexy mama. I know when I nursed Danika not one of my nursing bras were pretty or sexy. They were all plain and just for their purpose-easy access to nurse. Well Passion Spice is changing that! They offer adorable maternity and nursing bras, underwear and lingerie.

I was able to try the Amor nursing bra in pink and it is my first pink nursing bra :) and it is very cute and sexy. Not only is it sexy but it is also functional. The Amor bra offers easy one hand access to nurse your baby. I also like that it is supportive without underwire. When I had Danika I had a lot of trouble with bras with underwire and I am glad to find a sexy nursing bra that doesn't have underwire but still offers the support you need. And not only did I try the Amor bra but I also tried the matching Cherie Bikini panties. How fun to have a matching set with a nursing bra!

Passion Spice offers a wide variety of nursing bras and maternity lingerie. The Amor Nursing Bra sells for $21.60 and the Cherie Bikini is $8.00. They really do offer affordable, sexy options for moms.

I know that nursing bras are usually more expensive so to find one that offers everything at such a great price is great. You can buy all of their products on their site. My readers can get a 10% discount on their order (even sale items) by entering this code: TMM09 This code is valid through 8/31/09!

Win! Passion Spice is giving one lucky mama a $25 gift certificate to their site!

Skin Free Review & Giveaway!

Wednesday, July 29, 2009 440

If you have sensitive skin, allergies or are just looking for skin care products that don't have additives then Skin Free products are for you. Skin Free offers a great variety of products that feature:
-No harmful chemicals or preservatives
-No fragrance
-No petroleum products
-No colorants
-No animal testing
-Non-greasy
-No steroids

I grew up having really sensitive skin and gradually outgrew that problem, but I would have loved to have known about Skin Free then. Being pregnant though I love to use their wonderful products because my skin tends to get sensitive again when I'm pregnant.

I was able to try their Basic Four Gift Set which included:
-Super Moisture Body Balm
-After Shower Moisture Spritz
-Niaouli Butter Stick
-A Bar of Extra Moisturizing Soap
I loved the set and it was a great way to try a variety of their best products for a great price. The set comes with full size bottles and costs $35. This set would be a great gift for any expecting mama. I loved the convenience of the After Shower Moisture Spritz. Sometimes I just don't have time to lather up with lotion after every shower and with the Moisture Spritz you just spray it on while wet, towel dry and you are done! Super easy and quick and you don't feel greasy after.

I used the Super Moisture Body Balm on my belly and loved that it is 100% super rich butters and natural oils. You can use the Body Balm anywhere on your body including your face and hands.
The Niaouli Butter Stick is great for those extra dry areas like elbows, knees or feet. I also used it on my arms after getting sunburned and it worked great to moisturize them and relieve the sting of the sunburn.

I also loved Skin Free's Extra Moisturizing Soap & Shampoo Bar. It lathers up really nice and has a great fresh feeling afterwards. You can also use it as a shampoo bar to wash your hair. I loved that it was so gentle on my skin. As I said my skin is more sensitive when I'm pregnant and my other soaps had been irritating it, but Skin Free's Soap worked great. You can even use it on your pets!

I was also able to try the Skin Free Sweet and Smooth Sugar Scrub. I love taking baths and the Sweet and Smooth Sugar Scrub made me feel like I was at a spa! The Sugar Scrub is great to treat itchy, dry, rough skin. You just massage it into your wet skin to remove the outer layer of dead skin cells and voila! a new you! This would also make an excellent pampering gift for a pregnant mama or really for any mama!

I love that Skin Free's products are so safe you can use them on the whole family including your kids. They have received a toxicity rating of zero and are a company who actually cares about what ingredients go into your products.
You can buy all of Skin Free's products on their site. Skin Free also offers free shipping on all orders of $25 or more! You can also purchase Skin Free products at CVS/pharmacy stores on the east coast and also in 2500 Walgreens stores and on walgreens.com. They are also available on drugstore.com and cvs.com.

Skin Free is also running an awesome buy 1 get 1 promotion right now. Here is how it works. Visit your local Walgreens or CVS and buy one of the following; Super Moisture Body Balm, After Shower Moisture Spritz, or Extra Moisturizing Soap (at least 3 bars) and then send your receipt to Skin Free and they will send you your choice (out of 4) of their products valued at $15.99! This contest is open to anyone and has NO limits on how many you can submit and receive! This is a great way to stock up on Skin Free products at an awesome price. You can view all of the details here. This offer is good through September 1, 2009.

Win! One reader will win a $30 Gift Certificate to Skin Free!
This giveaway has ended congrats to the winner:

Soft, Affordable AND Adorable Baby Shoes! Bugaloo Review & Giveaway!

Tuesday, July 28, 2009 574

If you have never visited Bugaloo Shoes then you definitely need to. They offer adorable baby shoes for just $15 a pair! That's right all of their cute baby shoes are only $15 each. They also give free shipping even to Canada when you buy 3 or more pairs.

We reviewed the Clive shoes which will be for our little boy due in December. They are so adorable and came in a cute little plastic carrying bag. They are super flexible and soft. They look really comfy! They are made from soft leather and have a cotton lined sole. I can't wait to see them on our little man when he arrives!

They also offer some very cute girl baby shoes as well. These are some of my faves, the Chloe and Lucy pictured here. You really can't beat the price of Bugaloo Shoes. They would make wonderful baby shower gifts as well. Especially in the cute little carrying bag they come in. Any new mama would love to have them for her baby.

Here is another big mom bonus, If your kiddo's Bugaloo shoes are looking dirty you can throw them in the wash! They are also recommended by medical experts as the smart alternative to hard soled shoes. Bugaloo soft soles allow for proper balance and foot development.

I also love that 5% of each purchase goes to the International Justice Mission, which is an organization that fights sex trafficking.

I love these Georgette monkey shoes too! I had such a tough time deciding which shoes to review! You can buy Bugaloo shoes on their site. And remember they are all $15 a pair!

Win! One reader will win their own pair of Bugaloo Shoes!!

Car Seat Safety & Review!

Friday, July 24, 2009 0

I have talked about CSN Stores in previous posts and if you haven't checked out their huge variety of stores then you definitely should. They offer everything from carseats to futons to rugs and so much more. We reviewed the Cosco Scenera Convertible Car Seat from one of CSN's sites babycarseats.com. We were in need of a second car seat for my husband's vehicle so we didn't have to move her seat from one vehicle to the other.

As you can tell Danika was quite comfy trying it out for the first time. In fact she loved it so much she didn't want to get out. We let her sit in it in the house for a long time until we were ready to leave and she was quite content to stay in the car seat. She loved the cup holder on the side and we loved how easy the car seat was to install as well as to get her in and out of it. We were very impressed with the car seats performance in all areas. You can buy this car seat on their site babycarseats.com for an affordable $59.99. This is a great price considering it is a convertable seat and can be used both rear and forward facing and has a 5 point harness. One thing I will not buy used is a car seat. It is so important that you know the history of the seat and know that it hasn't been in an accident or is expired (yes they do have expiration dates on them!). If you are looking for a car seat babycarseats.com offers a wide variety at great prices. We were definitely satisfied with all they had to offer!

A Sippy Cup That Is Safe & Works Great! Safe Sippy 2 Review & Giveaway!

Wednesday, July 22, 2009 554

I feel like I am forever on the hunt for a great sippy cup. I was excited to try the new Safe Sippy 2 from Kid Basix. I love that it is stainless steel and doesn't contain BPA or phthalates. It truly is clean inside and out! I also love that it is so cute and modern looking. We tried the pink safe sippy 2 and it is so bright and colorful. The Safe Sippy 2 is also available in blue and green.

I really like that you can use the cup as either a regular sippy cup or you can use the straw adapter and use it with the straw. It really grows with your child. We tried using it both ways and Danika wasn't quite ready for the straw so we use it as just a sippy cup. The handles are also removeable so when your kiddo gets bigger and doesn't need them you can take them off.

The spout is also shaped like a straw because recent research shows that wide, flat drinking spouts can cause problems such as developmental and speech problems.

The bright colorful sleeve on the cup also acts to insulate cold drinks. We found that Danika's drinks stayed cold much longer than they did in her regular sippy cups. The pieces that are plastic on the cup are also BPA & phthalate free.

The Safe Sippy 2 also comes with a travel plug for on the go (to prevent any leaks) and a cover. I love that it is also dishwasher safe. It also features an 11oz capacity which is great.

You can buy the Safe Sippy 2 for around $14.95 at locations listed here.

Win! One reader will win a Safe Sippy 2 of their own!

This giveaway has ended. Congrats to the winner:

I Love Natural, Safe Cleaning Products! 7th Generation Review & Giveaway!

Tuesday, July 21, 2009 838
Ever since having my first child I have become more and more aware of the harmful chemicals in cleaning products. I always hated having to shoo Danika out of the room because the fumes from the cleaners were too strong. I love natural cleaning products. Especially now that I am pregnant again and Danika is running all over the place, I try to use natural products whenever possible. Seventh Generation is an awesome company that offers a wide variety of natural, chemical free products.
I was lucky enough to try Seventh Generation's Healthy Home Kit. Included in this kit are:
-Kitchen Cleaner
-All Purpose Cleaner
-Glass & Surface Cleaner
-Shower Cleaner
-Toilet Bowl Cleaner
-Tub & Tile Cleaner
-2 Rolls Brown Paper Towels
-Reusable tote to carry it all in!
I tried all of the products included and was so happy to find a kit that really had a product to clean every room in my house. I thought the products cleaned very well and the paper towels held up well when cleaning with them too. I was thrilled that all the products are safe and natural and they have 100% ingredient disclosure so I know exactly what is in them.

Since Seventh Generation's products are all natural I was able to finally let Danika help out with cleaning and she loved it! I couldn't resist putting all these photos up of her helping mommy clean the house!

She had a blast and it was a great learning experience for her. And a bonus, our house was clean too!

Seventh Generation offers a wide variety of products including laundry soap, dishwasher soap, baby products, household paper supplies, feminine care, and much more. You can buy their products on their site and at online and retail locations listed here.
The Healthy Home Kit I reviewed sells for $38.99, which is a great price for all that is included. It would make a great house warming or bridal shower gift.

Seventh Generation also offers great baby kits. The one pictured is the Green Baby Kit-Newborn. It includes:
-2 packs of newborn diapers
-Baby Wipes Tub and Refill
-Baby Liquid Laundry Detergent
-Reusable Tote
Wouldn't this make a great baby shower gift? It sells for $44.99. They also offer Stage 1 and Stage 2 Baby Kits.

Win! Seventh Generation is giving one lucky reader a Healthy Home Kit of their own! It is the same kit I reviewed!

Here is how to enter to win:
  • Visit Seventh Generation's site and tell me which product you would most like to try. Remember to include your email address in your comment.

Easy To Apply Sunscreen For Your Active Little Kiddos! Kinesys Review & Giveaway!

Monday, July 20, 2009 363

I have a wiggly, squirmy little girl and when it comes to putting on sunscreen I feel like I am chasing her all over the house just to get it on every part of her body. I got the opportunity to try Kinesys Sunscreen and was so delighted to find it sprays on! We went to the park yesterday and in a matter of less than a minute (before she had time to run) I had already applied sunscreen all over her.

We tried both the Kinesys Girl Sunscreen and Kids Sunscreen and I have to say I'm sold. They work wonderfully and are so easy to apply. I loved that the Girl Sunscreen had a great green tea and vanilla scent. Danika liked to smell it, which made putting it on fun. We tried the travel size which is perfect to throw in the diaper bag for whenever you might need it.

We also loved the Kids Sunscreen. I love that both sunscreens are water and sweat resistant and protect against both UVA and UVB rays. I don't think a lot of people realize it but not all sunscreens protect against both types of rays. I also love that it is PABA free and hypoallergenic. The Kids Sunscreen is also fragrance free so if your little one is sensitive to anything it is the perfect sunscreen for them! They are also the only oil, Alcohol, PABA, Preservative, and Paraben Free spray sunscreen products on the market!

You can buy Kinesys Sunscreens on their site. The Girl Sunscreen we tried is $6.99 for the travel size and $18.99 for a 4 oz size. The Kids Sunscreen is the same price. The prices may seem high at first, but there are about 170 sprays in the travel size bottle and over 700 sprays in the 4 oz bottle, so when used properly it is a good value. You also have to take into account that you are getting a sunscreen free from all the nasty chemicals your child doesn't need. My readers can use the code: BRC10 to get 10% off and free shipping on orders over $45!

Kinesys has also been recommended by many people. CBS- The Early Show calls it the #1 spray sunscreen for high efficacy and low hazard ingredients, and they have received accolades and awards including iParenting, MOM’s Best and PTPA (Parent Tested Parent Approved).

Win! One reader will win a 4oz Kid's SPF 30 Spray & 4oz Hydrating Moisturizer with SPF 15 ($37.98 value!)

This giveaway has ended. Congrats to the winner:
