I am super excited to share this review and giveaway with you! I was very interested in trying out the SodaStream Soda Maker and seeing what it really was all about. Let me tell you it surpassed all of my expectations. My husband is really the soda drinker in our house, but I like an occasional soda and I really like flavored sparkling water. The Soda Stream lets you make your own soda and flavored carbonated water AT HOME!
We received the Fountain Jet Soda Stream to review and oh my gosh was it fun! We immediately tore into the box when it arrived and my husband (who looked like a mad scientist) got busy in the kitchen whipping up some soda to try. It was extremely easy to figure out and use and we were drinking our home made soda in a matter of 15 minutes from when we opened it. This is by far the coolest thing ever! We had a pizza and pop party and it made for a fun family afternoon. We had a blast trying the different flavors and playing around with the Soda Stream.
The Fountain Jet SodaStream soda maker sells for $99.95 and includes the Fountain Jet Soda Maker, 110 Liter Carbonator, and 2 carbonating bottles and you can also choose your color. They also have the Genesis, Pure and Penguin models available on their site. The Fountian Jet is designed very nicely to look sleek and modern on your countertop. It is not something I would want to stash in the cupboard, it looks very nice on our counter.
I was amazed that the SodaStream could turn ordinary tap water into soda! And get this, it doesn't use batteries or electricity! Crazy huh?
I think the SodaStream Soda Maker is very fun for the whole family. We definitely made a family activity out of it and had a great time. We are also looking forward to making home made soda for our guests when they come to visit! Won't that be fun whipping up a fresh batch of soda for our friends. I think they will be impressed!
SodaStream offers over 25 different flavors and it isn't just pop, they also offer flavored water mixes as well. My absolute favorite soda mix was the Cranberry-Raspberry. I am in LOVE with this flavor! I want to stash it away and hide it from my family because they love it too :) My husband is a bit of an energy drinking junkie. He works shift work and has taken to drinking energy drinks as a pick me up because coffee gives him heartburn. He was excited to try out the Energy flavor soda and coming from the expert himself he said it tasted exactly like Red Bull. He said you wouldn't even know the difference. Another bonus is that the soda stream mixes contain no high fructose corn syrup or aspartame. Okay so I admit I'm a sucker for coordinating anything on my daughter so I was thrilled to hear Pediped and No Slippy Hair Clippy were teaming up to make coordinating shoes and hair clips. I have a mountain of empty wet wipes tubs growing in my house and I am wondering what other uses I can put them to. I have been holding on to them in hopes of coming up with some great use for them. Here are some uses I have come up with searching around the web:
Use them to organize your craft room. Label each box for items such as sewing supplies, scrapbooking, needlepoint, crayons, etc...
Organize your child's small toys. Use to hold Barbie accessories, puzzle pieces, crayons, markers. You can also cut the lids off and use them on a shelf as baskets to hold your kids toys or socks or whatever.
Use in the garage as organization for each type of nail, screw, nut and bolt.
Use these boxes to store your photos until you can put them in an album
Make surprise play kits or craft kits to amuse your kids in the car or while waiting at the dentist, doctor, etc...
Use in your pantry to organize all of your loose items such as seasoning packets, granola bars, fruit snacks etc
Make an emergency kit with bandaides, gauze, scissors, etc.
Use in the bathroom to organize cotton balls, travel size products, Q tips, makeup, etc.
Use them to store empty plastic grocery bags and then you can pull them out one at a time!
Cut the tops off and use to organize messy drawers
Put your little girls hair accessories in them

Okay so I have been a total coupon slacker lately, but I heard Kmart was doing doubles this week through Saturday (select locations only) and had to make a trip. I hate carrying our diaper bag everywhere. My husband just asked me the other day if I had stashed a bowling ball in it because it was so heavy :) Time to clean it out apparently. Danika was born with a lot of hair. By the time she was three months old I was putting little barrettes in her hair and these days if her hair isn't tied back she can't even see. It is perfect that they are flower accessories that they sent us because flowers are Danika's obsession. As you can see in all of these pictures she is picking flowers (and happens to be ignoring her toys-she would rather pick flowers, what a girl!)
