With Summer finally here I am so excited to spend some time outdoors. We are always looking for fun ways to spend time together as a family without breaking the bank. This Summer we thought it would be so much fun to go camping together. It creates amazing memories for the kids and is an excellent way to bond as a family.
Here is the tent as my husband was setting it up. This is the main tent sleeping area. It has a zippered opening and screened windows for great ventilation. I loved the orange and gray color combo too. The great features about the body of the tent are that it is freestanding, has color-coded clip sleeve construction, taped floor seams and an ArcEdge floor. It also features adjustable stakeouts, mesh panels and lantern loops.
It features internal storage pockets on each corner of the tent so you can stay organized and keep from losing smaller items.
Once you’ve attached the outer fly portion of the tent it looks like the photo above. It features a dual entry vestibule which I love. This cuts down on the bugs in and out of the main sleeping area. It also allows you to relax away from the bugs and be able to still see your kids if they are sleeping in the main tent area.
I also really loved this smaller opening on the opposite side of the tent from the main entry. You could store anything you like there and have easy access to it without opening the main entry door. It would be a great place for a beverage cooler so you didn’t have to leave the tent to get a water. It is protected by the outer fly so you don’t have to worry about it getting down poured on.
The fly features a mesh vestibule with pull down shades. It is a great place to relax and also a great place to store your extra gear. The floor is open so it wouldn’t be completely protected from getting wet on the ground but would keep everything away from the elements.
It even has cup holders! This is perfect for relaxing at the end of a fun filled family day! I was also very impressed that when my husband took the tent down it easily went back into the bag! I’ve never seen that happen before!! Usually we are struggling with it and never able to get it back in the bag. Thank you Kelty for making a tent bag that is actually big enough to fit the tent back into it! The tent also survived through quite the downpour and thunderstorm. It is durable and held up great. I’m impressed with the quality and features that this tent offers.

That looks like an amazing tent! Camping in luxury for sure! Thanks for a great review =) I've gotta have one now!
I love all the little details that went into this tent! All the tents I grew up with didn't have anything like that!
I'm not so much an outdoor girl but my best friend does want us to go camping this summer. This tent would warm me up a bit about the great outdoors. Love that it has cup holders, hehe.
Thanks for the review!
That is an awesome tent. We love camping. We are also trying to build up our camping supplies. We have a tent but, it isn't even close to being as nice as this one. I think we need to upgrade!!
Wow! That tent looks HUGE! And I'm super impressed that it easily went back into the bag, I think that's what we need!

That is one cool tent! I especially like the internal storage pockets so that you can keep those most important things like sunscreen and bug spray handy! My daughter is dying to camp in our back yard … this would be a tent that would even get me to give it a try!
We love to go camping and are normally packed into a small tent, which is no fun when your trying to sleep. This looks very nice and roomy. It is not expensive either! Thanks for sharing.
I'm not much on camping usually, but if we had a tent like this then I could most likely enjoy it! I love that it has separate compartments. One of the things that I hate most about camping is the bugs, but this would keep the bugs out of the sleeping compartment which would be awesome!
I totally don't camp, but if I set up a tent like this in the back yard the kids would have a blast!
I love the different sections of this tent! Makes me want to go get one & go camping right now!
Very nice tent, don't think I've seen one with cupholders before. I can't wait to take my son camping this year
I'm not a fan of camping, but that sure looks spacious and inviting. Cup holders too? Wow, neat!
I am a fan of Kelty. I traveled all over Europe with one of their awesome backpacks. Great products!
i love the taped floor seams..i always worry about bugs sneaking in!
wow! that is an amazing looking tent! lol! I've never had one that fancy!! and with cup holders, too. Love it!

Never Heard of Kelty before but looks like high quality and they surely thought of EVERYTHING! We love camping and our tent is now 15 years old…so time to find a new one. thanks for the heads up on this one!
Hello, and thank you for writing such a wonderful review of this tent! I found your site while Googling for tents, and am seriously thinking about buying this tent. The problem is, do you think that 2 chairs would fit in that vestibule? That's important to us, and although I keep staring at it, I cannot make up my mind. Seems that that would go so well with the 2 drink holders!
Thank you again!
Hi Anonymous!
Yes, two regular chairs will fit in the vestibule. When my husband went camping with a group of guys they had 5 of the guy's gear in the vestibule and it worked great. It poured outside and it all stayed dry. 4 Guys (3 men and 1 teenager) slept in the tent and were very comfortable. Since all the gear fit in the vestibule they had a lot more room in the tent. Hope this helps!
