Movie Mania! Danika’s Picks! 6 Winners!

There have been LOTS of movies released this week! For a little Friday fun I’m going to share with you Danika’s favorite picks for the week. Here are her three favorite dvds that came out this week and 6 of you will win one!

Danika is a huge Olivia fan. She has the Olivia Transforming Playset, a couple of Olivia Plush dolls, a book and she loves it all. I think she can probably relate to Olivia and her little “bother”. Aiden is always getting into Danika’s stuff and that means she can only play with her little stuff when he is sleeping or be confined to her room. She is a big fan of Olivia’s newest release “Olivia: Merry Christmas, Olivia”.

Christmas at the beach? Celebrate with the joyful and feisty Olivia in these new-to-DVD holiday adventures as she spreads Christmas cheer during a beach party, dreams of being a Santa who returns lost toys, and more winter fun! In this first ever Olivia holiday DVD release, Olivia will help spread the joy of the holiday season while demonstrating to children how fun the power of thinking can be and encourage an active imagination for themselves. Danika also loves Ni Hao, Kai Lan. It is hilarious to hear her running around the house yelling Ni Hao! She was excited about this new release, “Ni Hao, Kai-lan: Princess Kai-lan”. She saw the commercials advertising it and kept asking for Ni Hao Princess Kai Lan. Adorable! So she was excited when it showed up at our door.

Come join adventurous preschooler Kai-lan on her most exciting journey yet as she becomes Princess Kai-Lan for a day! This educational DVD features an all-new double length episode and two additional new episodes that will introduce children to Mandarin Chinese in a fun, interactive way, as well as teach them how to deal with emotions and social situations. Featuring guest voice of movie and television star Lucy Liu, Ni Hao, Kai-lan: Princess Kai-lan is available on Oct. 5, 2010 for a suggested retail price of $16.99.

Danika is a fan of the Backyardigans but I don’t think anyone is a bigger fan than her friend who we will call Emma. Emma has her little stuffed friends that go everywhere with her and all sport names from the Backyardigans. I told Danika that Emma needs to come over and watch this new “The Backyardigans: Christmas With The Backyardigans” because I know she will love it too. It is adorable and perfect for getting in the spirit of Winter!

When Abominable Snowmen Tyrone and Austin take Santa’s magic sack, it’s up to the heroic Action Elves to use their terrific toy-building talents to get the sack back on this brand new DVD, The Backyardigans: Christmas With The Backyardigans. Featuring four new-to-DVD episodes, preschoolers will be introduced to different music genres and instruments including Memphis Soul, Society Band, Hootenanny and even a Balalaika Orchestra.
