Great Selection of Beach Towels

Friday, April 30, 2010 1
If you are looking for a good selection of beach towels to stock up on this Summer then check out Beach Towels On Sale. They have a great variety of colors and prints as well as sports teams and more. I received the Pink Stripe towel to review. The colors are bright and vibrant. The colored side is nice and soft. It is not the thickest towel I've ever owned, but it is cute.

For the man in your life you can get him his favorite Nascar driver or sporting team. This would make a great Father's Day gift idea.

I love that Beach Towels on Sale is a family owned business. They also charge only actual shipping which will help you save!

You can check out their entire selection of beach towels on their site.

Princess Party To Go! Review & Giveaway! So fun!

We had the wonderful opportunity to host a princess party for my daughter and her little friends. We don't get together with friends often enough and this was a great way to get together with our friends and do something special for our girls. You can do this as a Birthday Party idea or just because! We did this just because and the girls were soooooooo excited!

My Princess Party To Go supplied us with a Tutus and Tiaras Party Package for the party. It came with everything you need to have a very special princess party for four little girls. It includes 4 tutus, 4 tiaras, 4 wands, 4 feather boas, 4 flexi foam tiaras with stick on jewels for the craft project, and a party tips and game guide with fun party game ideas.

Each princess had a place set with all their dress up supplies! They absolutely loved it and squealed with delight when they saw the table all set for them.

Here is Danika and her friend all dressed up in their princess outfits! Aren't they adorable?

One little girl didn't want to be in the picture but you can see her in the videos. Our girls looked so adorable and they had so much fun getting all dressed up and twirling around in their tutus. I like how they naturally lined up by height in this photo.

The craft project that it came with was perfect for the girls. It was fun and easy enough for them to do without much help from Mom. They got to peel and stick little jewels on their foam tiaras. It was a quiet activity and they absolutely loved it! The Moms commented on how they loved the simplicity of it.

Here is a video of our Princess Party!

We all had a blast and it was such a special time for us Moms to spend with our daughters. I would highly recommend doing your own Princess Party with your daughters! You can buy the Princess Party To Go products right on their site. They have a large variety of packages to choose from and have products that include boys in the fun too. All of the products were great quality and super adorable!

Win! My Princess Party To Go is giving one very lucky reader a Tutus and Tiaras Party Package pictured above. It is the same package we reviewed and enough for 4 princesses! RV $59.99

Have you tried Freschetta FlatBread Pizza Yet? Get a coupon to save!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Freschetta. All opinions are 100% mine.

My family eats a lot of pizza. I suppose I could blame it on the fact that my husband is Italian but I don't think it his his fault haha. We just LOVE pizza! It is yummy, cheesy and convenient. My daughter's favorite is sausage and I'd have to pick pepperoni as mine. I was really excited to hear about the all new Freschetta FlatBread Pizza! It has an ultra thin crispy crust and puts a new spin on thin crust pizza.

The Zesty Italian was right up our alley. It had both Danika and my favorite toppings (sausage and pepperoni) along with Genoa salami, mozzarella and asiago cheeses and zesty red sauce. The flavors and toppings make it a sophisticated pizza that tastes like so much more than just a frozen pizza. Although sophisticated, still yummy and delicious for the picky little eater in your house! We also loved the pepperoni and cheese varieties. It is also available in roasted garlic and spinach which we are planning to try!

So do I have your mouth watering yet? As I was writing this post I remembered we had some pizza leftover in the fridge from last night. I went to get it and go figure it was gone! My hubby beat me to it.

You can try the new Freschetta FlatBread pizza yourself and get a $1 off coupon HERE.

Do you have rewards?

Juicy Rewards that is...With Mother's Day right around the corner I told you about how you can save $15 on your 1-800-Flowers purchase with your Juicy Rewards.

I'm discovering so many ways to use my points! My Mother in law recently was talking about the Judy Garland museum in Minnesota and wanting to take Danika to it since she really likes the Wizard of Oz. I looked it up on the rewards site and guess what...We can get 50% off up to 4 passes to the museum! Very cool!

You could also use your points to go on a great Mother's Day outing with your Mom. There are so many museums, aquariums and activities that you can save on with your rewards that it would be really affordable to take your Mom out. What a fun way to create memories on Mother's Day. You can also drop a hint to your hubby (or kids if they are older) to take YOU out for Mother's Day!

Bum Essentials Review & Giveaway!

Thursday, April 29, 2010 605
Bum Essentials are a brand new cloth diaper on the market. We had the exciting opportunity to test them out hot off the press so to speak!

Here is Aiden sporting his Bumbino diaper in bumble blue. I love that these diapers are a one size diaper that will fit from 8-34 lbs. There are easily adjustable snaps on the rise to change the size of the diaper as your baby grows. I love one size diapers which eliminate the need to buy a whole new set when baby gets bigger. The Bumbino fit Aiden wonderfully and the first test we put it to was the overnight test. I hadn't planned to put it on him overnight for his first time ever using it. I usually worry about adjusting the fit and learning how the diaper performs before putting my kids in them overnight. I'm happy to report that the Bumbino passed with flying colors. We had no leaks and my little guy woke up happy!

I also really like that the Bumbino has a pretty trim fit for a one size diaper. It wasn't too bulky on him at all (considering that the same diaper will fit Danika!). The Bumbino is not an all in one or a pocket diaper but rather a combination of all the things I love about cloth. It consists of an outer shell with snap in inserts called Bum Pads. It has a micro fleece inner so nothing but soft material comes in contact with baby. It has an aplix closure and I love that you can cross the velcro over to get a nice snug fit on a smaller baby.

The snap in inserts snap in the front. Each diaper comes with two inserts called Bum Pads. There is a smaller and a larger insert. This is a grow with me feature so as your baby grows you can use the inserts that are sized best for baby. If you have a heavier wetter or older baby you can snap the two inserts together for double the absorbency.

There are two different types of Bum Pads. We tested out both and found great results with each kind. I used them both overnight on both of my kids and they performed wonderfully. I had no leaks with either.

The Classic Bum Pad is made of all natural products including organic cotton and bamboo blend. It has the absorbency of a hemp pad but is softer. The other Bum Pad is called the Terry Towel. It is made of organic cotton and bamboo with a hint of polyester. The polyester makes it super soft and flexible and it is the thinnest insert they have. This makes it perfect for getting a very trim fit with your diaper. It is also very absorbent. The Terry Towel is my personal favorite because it is so soft. It feels like a terry cloth towel. Each Bumbino diaper comes with a set of Terry Towel Bum Pads. The Bumbino shell can be used several times while just changing out the Bum Pads until it becomes soiled. This makes it very affordable as you just need to buy a handful of shells and more Bum Pads to make a complete diapering system.
Here is the Bumbino in Rockin Red on my 2 year old daughter. It is fully unsnapped and it fits great. She also put it to the test overnight and it performed really well. We have had no leaks with this diaper at all! I really like the trim fit and I love that once she is potty trained it will fit Aiden no matter what size he is in because it is a one size diaper. I snap the two Bum Pads together to give her added absorbency. Both types of Bum Pads worked great on her and I felt they both offered an equal amount of absorbency.

We were also able to review the Bum Bag. This is the coolest wet bag I've ever tested out. It is made of the same great material as their diapers and is double lined to prevent any leaking through. The coolest part is that it is reversible!! Ours was red on one side and blue on the other. You can choose whichever color you want to show and change it with your mood or to match the diapers. I think this is very neat! It has a drawstring closure and worked great at holding our dirty diapers. You can toss it in the wash right with the diapers. It comes in two sizes, one for 3-5 diapers and one that will fit an 8 gallon trash pail. These are awesome! Very nice quality.

You can buy all of the Bum Essentials products right on their site. The Bumbino diaper retails for $19.99 and includes a diaper shell and set of Terry Towel Bum Pads. It is available in 4 colors. The Classic Bum Pads and Bum Bags are also available on their site!

Win! Bum Essentials is giving one lucky reader a Bumbino diaper in your choice of color!!

Aiden is 4 months old now and just about ready to start eating baby food! I made all of Danika's baby food from scratch and loved doing it. Little Tikes Cozy Coupe!

We received the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe from CSN Stores to review. I think of this as a staple for every child to have. My little sister had one when we were little and just about every yard I go by with kids toys includes one. There was some assembly required so my hubby and Danika got to work putting it together. Danika was Daddy's little helper and couldn't wait for the car to be put together!

She was SO excited to take her new car for a ride! Here she is testing it out. I love the car and Danika had a blast. I really liked that it also comes with a floor panel you can put in so you can push your kiddo without the fear of catching their feet under it. It also has a nice little handle on the roof to make pushing them easier.

Danika loved the open and close gas cap and ignition with a key she could use to turn her car on.

Danika loved getting the mail in her little mailbox. She could be just like mommy getting the mail! As you know toddlers love to copy their parents so this was a huge hit with her. The Cozy Coupe has storage in the rear which is a perfect place for her sippy cup to go along with her.

The Little Tikes Cozy Coupe is a must have in my opinion. It is a classic and timeless toy. It is perfect for pretend play to get their little imaginations going! Little Tikes is a brand I've come to know and trust for their high quality toys and attention to detail.

You can buy the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe at CSN Stores right now for just $49.99!

Swimsuit Shopping Nightmares! Review & Giveaway

Wednesday, April 28, 2010 562
With Summer just around the corner my four months postpartum figure comes to mind when thinking of bathing suit shopping. The thought of stepping into a dressing room and analyzing all of the areas where my lovely baby fat still clung on wasn't so appealing to me. Lucky for me I found GiGi! Who and what is GiGi? Read on!

From GiGi:

Every girl’s been there. The cold dressing room, the terrible lighting, the myriad of suits in detestable prints, our white undies sticking out from under the leg elastic, our sun-starved appendages. It’s a sure recipe for self-loathing.

How hard can it be to come up with something flattering and stylish, I wondered. A bathing suit version of the little black dress? I decided I’d have to create it myself. And thus, GiGi was born.

Lucky for you, attention to detail is my forte. I’ve had a fabulous time creating a suit that truly complements almost every figure. My various sized female friends agree: GiGi is the most flattering bathing suit they’ve ever worn. If you don’t think so, just send it back. Enjoy your new GiGi suit. GiGi loves you!

Gillian Gabriel, aka G.G.!

I received the GiGi Suit in black to review. I was skeptical of this bathing suit that was supposed to end my swimsuit shopping nightmares. I slipped it on and found that there are so many things that I love about it and it really is flattering. I am a big fan of the ruching around the tummy area which hides that unwanted baby belly that I still have after having Aiden. I've always liked the halter top style in suits. The halter-top bodice is flattering on virtually all body-types. And GiGi provides complete coverage to just below the shoulder blades, minimizing "BS": Backfat Spillage.

Soft elastic in the halter-top strap prevents neck irritation; clear, narrow elastic at the side seams gently gathers the fabric; and firm elastic in the leg and under the bust adds support.

GiGi fabric is imported from Spain and is 87 percent nylon and 13 percent spandex—allowing a softer and more luscious feel. The lining is cut four inches smaller than the rest of the suit to provide optimal control and an all-around smooth look. Removable bra cups tuck into the lining, allowing women to choose their style preference. Ruching at the side seams also allows for the leg opening to slide up or down, creating the best look.

Both the pink and white colored suits are triple layered so they are not see through! The designer discovered this in testing and made sure you wouldn't have this problem! I did a little interview with the designer that you can read below.

Q.) What inspired you to design the GiGi Swimsuit?
A.) GiGi came straight from my own experiences around swimsuit shopping. I was heading out for vacation and needed a new suit. After trying on 90 (seriously ... 90!) different styles, I settled on the best of the bunch, still wondering why I couldn't find just one felt right. The idea started percolating from there.

Q.) Did you discover any interesting things that needed to be changed in the design during testing?
A.) I'm not a designer or manufacturer by background, so there were many things I had to learn along the way. Perhaps the funniest was when my manufacturer suggested I might want to consider different lining in the white and pink suits. In his experience, those light colored fabrics can become see-through when wet. I went home, put on a pink suit prototype, and jumped in the shower. When I came out, my husband said...'um, I think he may be right.' Suffice it to say, our white and pink suits are now triple-lined.
You can buy the GiGi suit on their site for $98. It will be the only suit you need this Summer and the answer to the dreaded swimsuit shopping nightmare! I found the sizing ran a tad on the small side so if in doubt order up a size.

Win! GiGi is giving away one suit in your choice of color and size!!

DryBees Fleece Night Time Diaper Review

I had the opportunity to review the DryBees Fleece diaper on my daughter. These diapers are made with the same well loved diaper pattern as other DryBees Diapers. They are made with Heavy Weight Malden Mills Windpro Fleece and are very nice quality. They are soft and wash up well and I've had no piling so far. These diapers are perfect over night and heavy wetters. We've used it on my daughter and had no leaks!

DryBees Fleece Diapers feature their specially milled suede cloth. They are soft and comfy. They are a pocket diaper and do not come with an insert. We used a microfiber insert and it worked great.

Taken from the site: Because of the nature of the fabrics used to create DryBees Fleece Pocket Diapers you will find they are more bulky than your typical PUL pocket but are an amazing solution for night time and heavy wetting babies. We found that although it was a bit bulky it was a great night time diaper!

You can buy the DryBees Fleece Diaper and their other diapers at retailers you can locate here.

Toddler Tuesday!

Tuesday, April 27, 2010 6
Today is Toddler Tuesday! This is where we all share our toddler related activities, memories and moments. Link up below or leave them in the comments! I'm working on having a button made too so you can grab one each week for your Toddler Tuesday post!

This week was my hubby's Birthday so Danika made him a special card. I put together a card with some shapes I cut out on my Cricket machine and let her color it and put stickers on it. She was so excited! We traced her hand on the back too. She loved that.

She couldn't wait for her Dad to get home from work so she could give him his Birthday card. It was so special for him to receive it and she couldn't have been more proud giving it. She even sang him her version of Happy Birthday (which wasn't bad!).

Now it is your turn! Share your favorite toddler activities and moments with us!
