The Rubbermaid 2 in 1 Recycler came to our rescue and organized our recyclables in one easy to use and easy on the eyes container. The 2-in-1 Recycler makes recycling easy! This two-unit bin allows you to either contain trash and recyclables all in one location or sort recyclables.
The lower bin tilts out for easy access, and holds an 8 gallon trash bag in place with the Liner Lock™ system. Alternatively, you can use the lower bin to sort another type of recyclable and carry it out with the built-in handles. For now we use the lower bin to collect our cardboard and paper so we don’t use a bag. When it needs to be emptied my husband takes it in the back of his truck to the recycling center and dumps it in their bin.
The top unit is perfect for collecting recyclables and has a fold away handle that makes it easy to take out and empty into your recycling bin.
We use the top bin to sort our plastic and aluminum. Since we have to sort our recyclables into 2 parts – plastic/aluminum and paper/cardboard, this works perfectly for us. Since it looks similar to a kitchen trash can and takes up the same amount of space I can put it in my kitchen and toss my recyclables without having to clutter up my counter or my back hall.
Alternatively you can use the bottom section for your trash and the top for your recyclables. The features of this product include:
