Organizing Your Nursery & Kids' Rooms With Trend Lab!

With Carson and Aiden sharing a room now I’ve run into some interesting storage challenges. I find that with the baby/toddler stuff all in the same room it tends to get overrun quickly and thus looks messy! Aiden’s top shelf in his closet was starting to look like a giant mountain of blankets and sheet sets. It was driving me nuts! I like clean and organized, not messy and disheveled!

If I wanted to get a new set of sheets for him I was pretty much mauled with the rest of the pile raining down. So in honor of my Spring cleaning spree I decided it was long overdue for some organizing.

I found these adorable Dr. Seuss ABC Fabric storage totes. Now normally I would see these and use them to organize toys and put them on the floor for storage. This time I decided to think outside the box and use them for more than just holding toys. I organized the entire top of Aiden’s closet (yes that whole mess fit in these!) with the fabric storage totes.

I put each item in like a file folder so that I’m able to quickly and easily see what sheet sets, blankets, etc are there and grab everything I need without digging through it.

I used the medium size tote to hold all the washcloths and bath time goodies.

The smallest tote I used on the changing table to organize all of the boys lotions, diaper cream and hair stuff. It worked great! You can even slip in a tag in the clear holder on the front if you’d like to label each tote.

Living in a house with all the bedrooms on the same level as the main living areas you wouldn’t think you would need a diaper caddy but trust me it’s so handy! Trend Lab had one in the matching Dr. Seuss print and I loved that it can really be used for anything. Once my kids outgrow using diapers I will be stealing this for my craft room! It’s SO handy! It perfectly holds a box of wipes and diapers along with diaper cream, etc. I love that there are two divided slots so I can separate Aiden and Carson’s diapers from one another.

Often times one of the boys will be sleeping in their room and the other will be with me in the living room and need a diaper change. With the Trend Lab storage caddy I can easily change their diaper while being away from the changing table. It holds everything I need in a nice, organized place that’s totally portable from room to room. I never knew how much I needed this until I had one!
